Birth Goddesses
“If a woman doesn’t look like a goddess while giving birth then someone isn’t treating her right.”
~ Ina May Gaskin
I believe that birth is one of the most natural rites of passage, and that You, the birth~giver deserve to feel cared for, respected and encouraged as you journey along this path. I value the significance of the liminal threshold that we each pass through to arrive Earth~side, and my intention is to protect how this Portal is traversed. I am committed to ensure that You feel held and empowered; to remind You of Your innate wisdom and strength. As your doula, I can be by your side continuously, supporting you to remain in control of how your birth unfolds.
Holistic Doula
I am a certified pregnancy, birth and postnatal doula, and can be here for you throughout each ~ or any ~ of these phases. I can support you to remain in confident connection with your practical and emotional needs during this time, and to create heart~led conditions which invite this new chapter to unfurl with gentleness and joy. I can guide you to explore your vision for your birth and postpartum period; to reflect on options, hopes and fears through trauma informed encouragement, and evidence~based information. I can liaise with care providers and advocate for your wishes to be respected as much as possible, enabling you and any birth partner(s) to remain immersed in your sacred experience. I value the sanctity of your journey and would feel honoured to be by your side and supporting you, whether your path is at home without medical assistance, fully within the national health system, or anywhere in between.
Additional support for your birth journey
As well as a doula, I am a certified Yoga and Meditation teacher and Sound therapist. I can offer a holistic approach to your birth journey by (optionally) including these practices which invite you to connect deeply with your body, breath and mind, and cultivate an empowered approach to your birth. I am an Aromatherapy and Homeopathy practitioner and Vegan Cook, and can also weave these elements through my doula work as part of your unique care arrangement. I am based in Margate, where I live in a women’s community which I founded; and the areas I currently cover for doula work are: Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and other areas within Thanet. While I establish my experience in this field I am being supported by my teacher and mentor, who has over thirty years of experience in the world of doulaing.
Services
The services I offer include a range of care. I can support you through your pregnancy, birth, and first 40 days postnatally. I can also share additional support through my other offerings and practices. Together, we can curate a bespoke package which includes the elements which you feel would support you the best. I have Online and hourly rates for relevant offerings. If you are interested to explore options together, you can book a 30 minute enquiry call with me.
A note on pricing
When it comes to fees, I really want to be able to support as many people in their birth journey as possible, so I have a sliding scale pricing system, which is offered on a basis of trust. There are three tiers which cover low, middle and higher financial capacity. I also offer accessible community pricing for those who need extra support. If you would like to explore a payment plan, or community pricing I would be happy to discuss this with you.

A monthly Pregnancy circle for pregnant women and birthing people. Each month we gather at earth Studio Maragte, where you will be able to take time out for yourself in a calm and empowering environment. You will have the opportunity to meet other expectant mamas, celebrate your pregnancy and prepare for the birth of your baby. This space offers a supportive environment for you to explore your feelings about pregnancy, birth and beyond. You can come at any phase of your pregnancy, and you can either drop in once, or join us every month.
Circle gatherings are an ancient tradition which have a focus on nurturing the community. For many years, women have met in this way to support each other and share wisdom throughout their birth journeys and onward. As the proverb says; ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ ~ we are offering this monthly circle to gather our village.
